A beautiful still and calm painting where you can feel the atmosphere of the forest.
A unique oil painting that will sit easily in any room bringing a sense of calm, peace and stillness with its cool greens and strong peaceful wood energy.
This series grew out of a commission to make a painting of a view through a forest of trees. I was taking part in an exhibition in Ashridge in Hertfordshire and to get to it there was a magnificent drive through a forest of ancient Ash trees. Back in my studio I made a series from this trip, where I aimed to capture the atmosphere and magic I saw there.
