Rare vintage Apostle spoon with your choice of words, up to 35 characters, hand stamped onto the spoon face.
An Apostle spoon has an image of an apostle or other Christian religious figure on the end of the handle, each bearing his distinctive emblem. Apostle spoons were particularly popular in Pre-Reformation times when belief in the services of a patron saint was still strong. They symbolise the Last Supper of Christ in the company of the Apostles and therefore make a wonderful gift for a religious ceremony such as a Christening.
Variations
All of my vintage cutlery may show signs of its previous life, which only adds to its charm. It is all sourced here in England and many pieces date back as far as the 1920's.
Each commission will arrive with a chiffon ribbon-tied branded tag, wrapped in my bespoke acid-free tissue paper and ready to be given as a gift...or kept for yourself!

My hand stamped cutlery differs from engraved cutlery because I use traditional, industrial tools to indent every single letter into the spoon itself. Therefore marks made during the personalisation process are expected and spacing and alignment of letters are not exact. It all adds to the whimsical and charming look that makes your commissioned piece of cutlery such a unique gift.
Although the cutlery is useable, it is prone to tarnish over time and should be treated more as a keepsake rather than an every-day utensil. And remember – silver cutlery loves a good polish now and then!
