    Presenting our Modern Day Globe. Up to date cartography created by Lander & May presented on an old style map..

    A unique gift for someone special. Designed to sit on a desk or table top. Printed map artwork has been hand applied to a plaster ball then sealed and varnished, in the way globes used to be made hundreds of years ago.

    No garish 'school globe' colouring to be found here, the globe is tastefully presented with a vaguely vintage feel, and presented on a turned wooden stand painted in Farrow & Ball for a smart classic finish. No plastic ball either, our globes are all made by hand using British components and traditional materials.

    This globe could be personalised with your own routes travelled or places of interest to you.

    Dimensions

    Globe diameter is 38cm. Height is 68cm.

    Made from

    Each globe is made using a plaster ball, with applied printed paper map artwork, then sealed and varnished. Stands are turned wood, meridian arms are solid brass. The globe itself may be dusted, but avoid modern cleaning products.

    Our globes are not toys, and should be handled with care. But treated with respect they will last for generations, and become family heirlooms of the future.
