This crystal is part of a new collection designed by Jean Paul Gaultier. Struck by the perfection of Swarovski’s crystal assortment, he felt that the only way to make something completely new was to introduce an element of imperfection.
His answer was to design a crystal cut consisting of six variants that riff on irregular forms of pendants, square shapes and round stones in rich, shimmering metallic colours. The outcome is the ‘perfectly imperfect’ Kaputt (German for ‘broken') collection.

Crystal Scarabaeus Green was made to replicate the shimmer of the Egyptian Scarab beetle and the bright green of tarnished copper. With the inspiration from the mystical hue of the Egyptian scarab beetle, the effect gives a powerful and rich mixture of metallic green and gold. The tones of two new shades cover Kaputt’s surfaces irregularly creating subtly different effects every time.
Please note that due to the special coating effect of Crystal Scarabaeus Green, each crystal will differ slightly in colour.
