I think it can be very difficult to find sympathy cards which say the right things at a sad time. I hope this helps.
My husband's Mum passed away suddenly and unexpectedly and it was a huge shock and left that big hole that I'd heard people talking about when you lose someone close.
We received lots of touching bereavement cards but it was clear that many people didn't know what to say. I wanted to write a sympathy card which would help with that and which was different from everything else out there.
At first my husband wasn't sure if The Right Lines style would work, but when I showed him this 'I'll just sit next to you in the rain' card that I had written a few months later, he felt it was exactly what he would have wanted to read at the time his precious Mum died.
A couple of years on, it is one of my bestsellers and, whilst that's bittersweet, I'm happy if I can help even a tiny bit with how to express sentiments at such a delicate time.
My Mother-in-Law would be hugely embarrassed to know there is a card dedicated to her, but I think also deep down she'd be quietly proud.
This card comes in a choice of two blues, one pale and soft and the other deep navy, both with accent colouring on the words 'I'll just sit next to you in the rain'.
The card is blank inside so you can write your own message - or you can let the words on the front do the talking for you.
I don't offer personalisation at the moment and I'm afraid I can't change any words as I have the cards printed for me professionally rather than doing it myself in-house.
The card is printed on a 300gsm uncoated GF Smith board called Arcoprint (which is basically a jolly nice weight of card with a matt look and feel).
The board is FSC certified from responsible sources.
