These journals have pages of unlined khadda paper; khadda is recycled cotton that has been left over from the massive garment industry in India. It is handmade and doesn’t contain any chemicals as we use only unbleached cotton and is very easy to write on. The paper is made by charity in rural Rajasthan that promotes women’s education and their social standing in the rural villages.

Due to the nature of the material and handmade quality of this product, each journal is unique and comes with its own set of beautiful creases, bumps and marks that develop with age into something truly special. If the distressed nature isn't to your liking, we will do our best to pick out a more suitable version upon request or when personalising.
