Story Of The Grand Prix Gift Book

Featuring 26 of the most iconic moments from Grand Prix racing history this hand sized hard back book is illustrated with fantastic photographs throughout.

Grand Prix motor racing has its roots in organised automobile racing that began in France as early as 1894. It quickly evolved from simple road races between towns to endurance tests for car and driver. Innovation and the drive of competition soon saw speeds exceeding 100 miles per hour (160 km/h). Over the years the sport has evolved into the modern Formula 1 series that we see each year, and is much loved by racing enthusiasts all around the world.

Races include Sir Stirling Moss' titanic battle with the Ferraris at Monaco in 1961, the action packed Brazilian GP that saw Lewis Hamilton clinch the world title on the last corner and Jenson Button's incredible win in Canada in 2011. From Silverstone to Suzuka, Melbourne to Monza, this book will bring back memories of some of the most exciting Grand Prix of the last 60 years.

A lovely gift for birthdays or Christmas for anyone interested in motor racing and the world of the Grand Prix.
