Our gold vermeil is a layer of gold 2 microns thick over sterling silver. Always remove your jewellery when applying scents, lotions and potions. Avoid wearing your gold vermeil jewellery in the shower or when swimming. Chlorine, especially at high temperatures, can permanently damage or discolour gold vermeil jewellery. It can be gently cleaned with a soft polishing cloth. Gold vermeil will fade with time and wear however items are guaranteed for 6 months and with good care should last for years. We offer a re-plating service on all our jewellery.
