An exquisitely-detailed hand-drawn map of Roman Britannia, showing the main towns and roads, Hadrian's Wall, and the banners of the three Roman Legions.
My Roman Britain map shows 'Provincia Britannia' at the height of Roman expansion around 150-300 AD. The coloniae, major towns, forts, and the primary roads are shown, and the map also includes an inset showing the course of Hadrian’s Wall, and the vexilla (banners) of the three main Roman Legions.
The original Roman Britain map was drawn by hand in 2021. Beginning with a detailed pencil sketch, I used dip-pens with various calligraphy and drawing nibs to create the work.
For anyone interested in British or Roman history or archaeology, this limited edition map is a must-have.
