Brushed Silver Willow Leaf Earrings

These elegant sterling silver leaf earrings are based on the shape of a willow leaf, and have a lovely subtle curve in the side profile.

I have designed these earrings so that the ‘stem’ of the leaf loops over to create the ear hook, so they hang beautifully when worn.

The finish I chose for the surface of these earrings is brushed silver as I feel it really shows off the soft organic form and elegant lines, and as an extra detail, the edges of the leaves have a bright finish which is achieved by burnishing the edges (rubbing along the edge with a burnishing tool made of polished steel) so when the earrings are worn the edges will catch the light in a subtle and lovely way.

Each piece is carefully hand crafted using traditional techniques in my jewellery and silversmithing studio in South Derbyshire, England.
