Description

This is an unframed handmade lino cut print of a bird in a beautiful tree

It is one in a series of charming prints of birds in trees.

The print is a relief print made from one single block that has been carved and inked by me and then printed using a traditional etching press.

The chine colle refers to the white area of the print which is actually paper. This is bonded together with the coloured paper using specialised glue when rolled through the etching press.

It has been printed in a limited edition of 40

Made from

The print is made using high quality black oil based ink. The plum coloured paper is French pastel paper Canson Mi Tientes 160gsm. The white coloured paper is specialised handmade Indian paper, the variation in its colour shows leaves that are embedded in the paper.

The paper is lightfast, mildew and rot resistant but please do not display in direct sunlight.

All prints are sold unframed and posted flat in sturdy packaging and will have a handprinted swing tag included.
