IN THE BAG The New Year is the best excuse to bag some arm candy (as if I need an excuse), and I'm getting myself one of these gorge clutches from Karan Rai London. Made from baby-blue leather with a satin lining, it adds a touch of opulence to any outfit. One for the payday wish list, ladies! £85 (with keyring) Page 57

About
A sustainable and independent handbag brand from London.
I design handbags around real women and their lifestyles. Each collection is a conversation. Once I know what you want, I source the materials so the leather, linings and fittings are all from local tradesman.
Each skin of leather is rare to find and has it's own unqiue story to tell. Handcut patterns drawn and used to maticulously shape through the leather which is then sewn together on vintage Brother sewing machines. I puzzle all the peices together with two craftsman who have a workshop in North London.
There's no mass production in sight but over 30 years of experience in handbag manufacturing. Think of a handbag brand and they've worked with them, Anya Hindmarch? Yes, Lulu Giuness? Yep! Your bag is made by a pro and the quality checks are rigourous. I inspect every bag and make tweeks until it's perfect to send to you.
Your bag is a one-off masterpice delivered to your door. The magic of the brand is that it's British. Products 'Made in England' have their challenges but we make a bag designed just for you that's not on the highstreet - now that's bespoke!
As seen in Red, Cosmopolitan and Reveal Magazine.
