Each boot and welly rack is handcrafted from sustainably sourced Dartmoor oak, selected for its natural strength, durability and beautiful grain. The oak is planed, sanded and finished in our Devon workshop to ensure a smooth, high-quality surface that enhances the character of the timber. The dowels are made from solid oak for maximum strength and stability, allowing them to support heavy welly boots with ease.
We source our oak responsibly from local sawmills and work closely with suppliers who share our commitment to sustainability. Every piece of timber is chosen and cut by hand, ensuring only the best sections are used. The engraving on each plaque is added using professional machinery for a crisp, clean finish that becomes part of the wood.
All racks are treated with superior Danish oil as standard, providing a protective and long-lasting finish that highlights the natural beauty of the oak. If you prefer an alternative finish—such as Osmo or varnish—we can accommodate this upon request.
Every rack is designed, made and engraved in our South Devon workshop. Our process balances traditional woodworking skills with modern accuracy, ensuring your finished piece is both robust and beautifully crafted.
