Each artwork is printed onto heavyweight A4 watercolour card and then hand-finished in my Buckinghamshire studio, with the option of vibrant acrylic ink colour or genuine gold leaf. Add a name, or a name and date, hand-written beneath the design in modern pointed pen calligraphy to create a truly personal piece.

These decorative alphabet artworks combine traditional lettering with ornate acanthus foliage, inspired by the rich decorative lettering and signwriting traditions I love.
The decorative initial is printed in black and white onto good quality watercolour card and I then hand-finish each piece individually in my studio.

Colour finishThe lettering outline is hand-painted in vibrant acrylic inks, with a choice of yellow and orange or yellow and magenta. The surrounding acanthus leaves are coloured green, giving the artwork a bold, contemporary feel.
Real gold leaf finishFor something a little more luxurious, the lettering outline is hand-finished with 24ct gold leaf. The black and white design can be left monochrome for a classic look, or the acanthus leaves can also be coloured.
Black & whiteFor a more understated look, the original printed design can be left completely black and white.
Personalisation
Make it personal by adding a name, or a name and date, written by hand in elegant modern pointed pen calligraphy.
There is also an ampersand (&) design available, making these particularly lovely for couples, for example two individual letters and an ornate ampersand between.
