The Book of You is a childhood memory book to fill in together once a year, from age one to sixteen. Give it as a christening, first birthday or first Christmas gift, then watch it grow with them: there are prompts for the grown-up every year, joined by questions for the child from the age of three, and the questions mature as the years pass.

WHAT'S INSIDE, EVERY YEAR
A stats page – height, shoe size, how they get around – along with all their favourite things.
The 'Make your mark' page – for hand and foot prints when they are little, then a drawing or photos as they grow, with a space to write their name from age four that evolves into their signature when the time is right.
Prompts for the grown-up – 'The things you do that make me laugh', 'Your best quotes', and space for everything you don't want to be forgotten. Each year begins with 'Who I am to you', so it doesn't have to be the same person filling it in, and every kind of family is included.
Questions for the child from age three – 'What makes you happy?' and 'What's the naughtiest thing you've done this year?', which becomes the most embarrassing thing as they get older. It ends at sixteen with a note to their future self, and their hopes and predictions for the years ahead.
A BOOK TO GIVE TWICE
The idea is to tuck the book away once it's full and give it back to them when they are older – on their eighteenth, or their wedding day. They can read all the lovely things written about them, laugh at what they wanted to be when they were three, and cringe at the most embarrassing thing to happen to them at thirteen. It is designed to promote positivity and affection, and builds into a lasting record of a childhood.
