The 'Make your mark' page – for hand and foot prints when they are little, then a drawing or photos as they grow, with a space to write their name from age four that evolves into their signature when the time is right.
Prompts for the grown-up – 'The things you do that make me laugh', 'Your best quotes', and space for everything you don't want to be forgotten. Each year begins with 'Who I am to you', so it doesn't have to be the same person filling it in, and every kind of family is included.
Questions for the child from age three – 'What makes you happy?' and 'What's the naughtiest thing you've done this year?', which becomes the most embarrassing thing as they get older. It ends at sixteen with a note to their future self, and their hopes and predictions for the years ahead.
