Handmade sterling silver initial letter necklace in hand drawn font.
These initial necklaces came about after I was comissioned to make a set of them for a bride to give to her bridesmaids as a thank you gift on the wedding day. Since then I have had many more requests for birthdays, christenings etc and other special occasions where it's great to be able to give a personalised gift.
Variations
This necklace is available on two different lengths of chain, and two letter sizes, small and large, but please don't hesitate to get in touch if you have any other special requests. They are completely handmade so I will always try to accomodate if you want something different. The letter shapes are as shown, all are capital letters. Each letter is handcut and as such ay vary slightly from the image, that's what makes each one unique!
Made from
I hand make these initial pendants out of solid sterling siler. I first texture the silver with grainy handmade paper which is imprints a light texture into the surface of the metal. Using a template I carefully cut out the letters using a very fine saw blade. The initials are then filed and sanded and the edges polished to give a nice smooth finish and shiny edges to the letters. The initials are cut from a sheet of chuky silver so they will not bend out of shape.
Dimensions
The pendant sizes are, small: approximately 1.8 cm (height) by 1.5 cm (width) or large 2.5 x 1.8, on a 16" or an 18" chain. The initials are cut from a chunky sheet of silver and are 1.3 in depth.
