Nabina and Rajesh make our pote bead jewellery samples, then coordinate the production with a team of Nepali women who hand make the jewellery at home. This enables the artisans to earn an income around their family commitments, giving them more flexibility with their work. AURA QUE started working with the group in 2019. AURA QUE products are individually handcrafted and the unique story behind each AURA QUE product enhances its charm!

'Pote' is the common name for the tiny colourful glass beads that are very popular in Nepali society and culture. The colourful pote necklaces are a symbol of luck for the married women in Nepal especially in Hindu communities. The pote beads used in AURA QUE jewellery designs are bought locally in Kathmandu.
