The city lights fall away one by one, the sun departed. She is like a candle who ceased to be and the stars are all in dialogue with the moon, who hangs suspended like a stringless puppet. Do not rage against the night. For us darkness is not sombre but it is a coat, a sublime camouflage. We bid her farewell that mighty glowing disc. She returns to her nightly slumber. The world is a slaughterhouse. Remove me from the constant hysteria. And you, you are too tender, delicate and true for this place, for this time. So we escaped, took pleasure in the vacant streets. This city is a chameleon: he has shed his skin and we will revel in the quietus. We went to our dear green budding place and I said 'Lay down your head on me and listen to the wet lush grass as each and every blade congregates to tell you to forget the past days.' They fell tumultuously, you felt broken, ruined to your core. But you do not let histories rue your tender kind loving crown. You are like the grass: though boots trample and stamp upon you yet still you stand my love, still you stand.
