When raising a glass in Scotland you often say ‘Cheers!’ by saying the Gaelic ‘Slàinte!’. It is pronounced ‘slange’. Literally meaning; ‘health’ and the response to this toast is ‘Slàinte mhath!’ or ‘good health!’ and pronounced ‘slange i va!’. These trays are inspired by this custom and the call and response of it is reflected in the two positive and negative designs.
