Fun, nostagia and freedom are embraced in this beautifully made painting.

This series was developed from a residency at Tooting Bec Lido where I became entranced with the colours and the light I saw there. Back in the studio I employed an almost birds eye perspective and experimented with the colours I had seen there to get this fun effect. I have that found children are drawn to this series, they immediately understand the sense of fun and pleasure it evokes. The shapes the groups of swimmers made reminded me of star constellations, hence the title for this body of work.

This popular series has been exhibited and sold across the uk and abroad and the screenwriter Jed Mercurio owns one of the collection!
