In Celtic mythology this gorgeous Silver Birch tree symbolises protection and new beginnings. It's a wonderful gift to celebrate a special wedding anniversary or birthday!
The slender, graceful Silver Birch (Betula pendula) will thrive in any garden and is treasured for its silver-white bark and delicate leaves on a crown of arched branches
A gift card with your personal message also includes the ancient story of your Silver Birch tree's symbolism and a full care guide. Add an engraved brass tag (see images above) inscribed with your message so this special gift is always remembered.
Please note: This tree is deciduous so its leaves will naturally change colour and fall every autumn. It will remain bare and dormant all winter until the warmth of our spring sunshine encourages new leaves to unfurl.
All our trees are organically nurtured in The Present Tree's gardens, where we never use harmful chemicals, just an organic blend that's wonderful for you, your tree, our wildlife and the planet. When you place your order a beautiful Silver Birch tree will be freshly selected by our devoted gardeners before being gift wrapped and placed in its luxury parcel.
Every tree is growing in an organic pot filled with top-notch compost, so no green fingers are required, just add natural daylight and water. We have also added the perfect balance of nourishment which is slowly released to ensure your tree continues to flourish.
Your Silver Birch tree will happily grow in its organic pot for the next few weeks, just place it in a sheltered spot in the garden, even in cold weather. Plant your tree, still in its organic pot so the roots are not disturbed, in an outdoor flower pot (about 15cm wide and with holes in the bottom for drainage) or in a sunny spot in the garden.
All The Present Tree's products and packaging are 100% biodegradable, compostable, reusable or recyclable.
Your parcel travels in a clear eco bag so the couriers and recipients are aware a living tree is inside and it must be opened as soon as possible.
This Silver Birch tree is 50-60cm high. It will be quite happy to be lightly pruned in early spring and will reach a height of 3 metres in 10 years, if allowed to grow naturally.
