Discover how to create three reusable face masks with a filter, using this easy crafty kit. Money from each sale will be donated to charity.
£1 from every kit purchased will be donated to Mind, a mental health charity.
Available in a range of colours, we’ve designed these masks to be as easy to make as possible and comfortable to wear. Each mask will have an opening for the option to insert a filter for extra protection, (such as a tissue, piece of kitchen roll or a filtering cloth or pad), to make it a three layer face covering.
Once complete you’ll be confident to make many more with any extra fabrics and elastic you may have at home, or simply order more kits containing everything you need. Remember, money from every single sale of these kits will be donated to charity.
While these masks are not designed to replace hospital grade PPE, they are suitable for day to day use for the general public to minimise the risk to both yourselves and others. Using these reusable face masks at home will ensure that valuable PPE protection is not taken away from the front line, and are more eco-friendly.
One kit contains all the materials needed to make three unique face masks from scratch using an iron and simple sewing techniques.
Inside each kit will be a trio of fabrics (assortment of plain and patterns), elastic, needles, pins and threads, along with a link to view our easy to follow online how to video which will guide you through the process. However, you will need to supply your own scissors, ruler and an iron to complete the activity.
Images show a sample kit, as well as a sample range of prints per colour way. The prints / patterns in individual kits may vary.
These kits make teenager / adult size masks, will be pleated to fit your face and completed mask will measure approximately 22cm x 7cm.
After wearing your face mask, simply remove and discard any additional protection or filter that you may have inserted in the lining, then be sure to machine wash on a 60°C cycle ready to wear again.
Please note, kits are selling quickly and as such we’re not able to accept requests for specific prints and patterns. On occassion, fabrics may need to be substituted for an alternative colour to keep up with demand.
Due to such high demand, we’ve had to source materials from alternative suppliers which has sadly increased the base cost of the of the kit, meaning we’ve had to sadly increase the price of the kit to £14.90, however, rest assured that money from each sale is still going to charity.
