Once given to Roman soldiers for courage, borage is a Mediterranean herb with star shaped edible blue flowers that appear in summer and are loved by bees. Found growing in wasteland, the herb does well outdoors in light, low nutrient soil.

The seeds can be sown indoors in early spring and moved outside to a sunny spot when seedlings are large enough.

With easy to follow instructions, So kits are great for kids, anyone new to growing plants, the seasoned gardener, and make beautiful gifts that benefit people and the planet.
