An opal triplet is a layered stone, made using a thin slice of natural opal set between a dark backing and a clear protective top layer. This construction enhances the opal’s colour and depth while offering added durability for everyday wear.
Opal triplets are known for their shifting flashes of blue, green, turquoise, and occasional hints of pink or yellow, which change beautifully depending on the light.
Each opal triplet is unique. You may notice variations in colour intensity, pattern, and distribution of colour across the stone. Some stones display broader flashes, while others show fine speckling or mosaic like patterns. These natural differences ensure every locket has its own individual character and vibrant personality.
