Description
A vibrant tin planter containing coir soil and seed balls – everything you need to grow a cute wildflower pot, simply add water.
Each tin includes a coir disc made from coconut husk (a peat-free, renewable byproduct of the coconut industry) which expands when water is added and makes for a super compost. Also included are 3 seed balls (approximately 90 seeds in total) to pop on top of the hydrated coir.
Variations
Available in two varieties – Chamomile and Forget-me-not
Made from
The tins can be kept outdoors (a special varnish helps to slow down the rusting process) or a sunny spot on an indoor windowsill. Keep the balls and soil well hydrated (but not too soggy) and in time you’ll have a lovely pot of wildflowers.
The eye-catching colourful designs have been exclusively illustrated for Seedball, with the tins themselves being manufactured in London from Welsh-mined tinplate by the last tin can maker using solar power. The tins will look great on a windowsill, shelf, balcony or counter-top and can have many lives! They can be re-used as indoor plant pots for herbs, succulents or houseplants, or for organising pens, kitchen utensils, and keepsakes. They are also 100% recyclable.
Chamomile and forget-me-not flowers are relatively low-growing plants and so are perfect for growing in smaller pots, although they are still rich in nectar to support bees, butterflies and other pollinators.
