Sgraffito Collection Bone China Mug Set

Bone china mug inspired by mark making and sgraffito

This collection of 4 designs is inspired by the process of Sgraffito and hand drawn geometric repetitive patterns. Sgraffito is a form of decoration made by scratching through a surface of slip to reveal a lower layer. The patterns are inspired by traditional lines, shapes and mark making. The colours I have chosen have been taken from nature, Pink Sunset 'Sky', Blue 'Sea', Lime 'Leaf' and Orange 'Sand'.

It is a more elegant and refined type of porcelain and is claimed to genuinely improve the taste of an English cup of tea, it has a nice fine rim and when held up to the light is slightly translucent.

The mug is a hearty size holding around 14oz (rather than the usual 11oz) so you can get a proper cuppa out of it.

My Sgraffito design also includes coasters and placemats.
