    'Circa' chair is a sculptural hanging chair - a simple, modern piece of furniture for contemporary homes and gardens.

    “The Circa hanging chair developed from our Hive chair design. Its beauty is created through the interaction of the simple, geometric component pieces. The Circa holds its shape by gravity through ropes so when it lies flat, it collapses like a crab net. The Circa only weighs about 8 kg and is simple to hang from a support beam or a hook. The great thing about this chair is that because everything can move, you get stress distribution among all of the joints, so it is incredibly strong. As you see the circles spin as the chair turns the chair looks incredibly sculptural.”

    The brilliance of the Circa is in its simplicity and efficiency of materials.It is infinity adjustable to fit and body size and seating position and can be used both indoors and outdoors.Made from sustainably sourced hardwood laminate with eco-friendly finishes.

    Variations

    Circa includes a bespoke shaped cushion, covered in a mid grey faux suede fabric. If you would like us to use your own fabric please get in touch - we can probably help!

    Our wood is sustainably sourced, top grade Birch laminate (FSC certified) and a UV filtering Osmo oil, satin finish.

    Other materials: Marine grade rope cord, white.

    Cushion (included): Mid-grey faux suede cushion cover, fibre filled cushion filler.

    Care Instructions:

    Outdoor Use: we recommend wiping the chair down every two/three months with a cloth and covering or storing the chair indoors during the winter (the chair is designed to fold flat when not in use). The cushion is not intended for outdoor use.

    Indoor Use: Wipe with a clean, damp cloth.

    Installation:

    No construction required of chair itself. Chair folds flat whilst fully assembled. hanging equipment NOT supplied.Single heavy duty hanging point must be installed in position by qualified installers. Rope or chain is recommended with the ability to adjust the hanging height.130kg load maximum recommended load for chair (1 large adult). Bespoke hanging frame available.
