Widely seen in schools and public buildings throughout France, where they are typically known as “savon écolier” or “school soap”, they save sink space by eliminating the need for a conventional soap dish and stay dry and within reach - allowing for easier washing when you're in a hurry.
They’re a perfect combination of simple neat and useful, and you can use them to enhance your kitchen or bathroom décor by wall-mounting above a sink to create an authentic French country home aesthetic and an eye-catching talking point!
Variations
Simple, French and reminiscent of days gone by, this wonderfully practical solution is perfect for the kitchen, utility room or bathroom. The set consists of a wall mounted metal holder and a hand-crafted scented French soap. The soap rotates on the holder and air-dries ready for its next use.
Replacement soaps are available in boxed sets of two and easy to change by removing the screw and simply sliding onto the bar.
The wall mount holder is available in a choice of three rustic finishes; choose from brushed steel, antique brass or burnished copper.
The natural, 240g classic French soaps are available in various colours and fragrances; choose from Argan Oil (Huile d'Argan), Cotton Flower (Fleur de Coton), Crushed Lemon (Citron Broyé), Donkey Milk (Lait d'Ânesse), Grapefruit (Pamplemousse), Lavender (Lavande), Marine (Marine), Raspberry (Framboise), Rose (Rose), Shea Butter (Beurre de Karité) or Verbena(Verveine).

Our 240g classic French soaps are hand-crafted in Marseille using fresh natural and organic ingredients from sustainable sources and conform fully to UK and European regulations on cosmetics.
Enriched with organic shea butter, they contain no synthetic, chemical or petroleum-based ingredients, and are 100% vegetal, free from SLS, silicon and artificial pigments, dermatologically tested, cruelty-free and vegan*. Suitable for all skin types, they are exquisitely scented with fragrances and essential oils from Grasse, the “World Capital of Perfume”.
The holder is made in France, and features a steel arm and base plate, available in a brushed steel, antique brass or burnished copper finish. Supplied with wall plugs, matching mounting screws and a simple to use wing nut for soap replacement
All packaging is plastic free, naturally biodegradable or recyclable.
Presented in a kraft giftbox with natural brown paper zig-zag infill and featuring a Provençal outer sleeve, natural cotton-fibre ribbon, a kraft “love heart” gift tag and personalised hand-written message.
Posted in a protective postal wrap to ensure your gift arrives in perfect condition.
