Handmade Large Sari Journal

The saris used to cover these journals come from Varanasi, one of the most religious cities in the world and a centre of excellence for sari making. We use new saris as we cannot guarantee the cleanliness of recycled sari’s and cannot always get the correct styles and designs.

The paper used in all our journals is 'khadda' paper. Made by charity in rural Rajasthan that promotes women’s education and their social standing in the rural villages, khadda paper is made from recycled cotton that has been left over from the massive garment industry in India. The paper doesn’t contain any chemicals as only unbleached cotton is used. Please note, we don't recommend using fountain pen with this type of handmade paper.
