Handmade from real elephant dung, our notebooks are not just colourful and unique, they are super sustainable too. They help make a difference to the communities that produce them and they are an ideal present for the elephant lover in your life.
The paper inside the notebook is handmade from paddy husk, a highly sustainable by-product of Sri Lanka’s rice milling industry. The high fibre and silica content produces a smooth, acid-free paper perfect for writing on with any type of pen.
Our elephant dung notebooks are made by Eco Maximus. Eco Maximus's aim, through the Maximus conservation trust, is to educate the local communities on the plight of the Sri Lankan elephant and to eventually live together in harmony.
Each notebook is filled with pages of unlined multi coloured elephant dung paper.

Is it a gift? Then our beautifully elegant handmade pillow box is the perfect finishing touch. A delicate gold floral design covers either a blue or pink easy to pack pillow box, or for a more festive feel, colourfully fun Christmas trees decorate a kraft paper pillow box. Please note that we send our pillow boxes flat to keep them safe, but if it is going to the recipent then just let us know and we will pop the notebook into the pillow box for you.
