As Cyprus's oldest coffee roaster, we've roasted and grinded the finest Turkish coffee for almost 100 years still using the artisan ways that our grandfathers used. The company’s founder, our great-grandfather Dervis ‘Tahmis' Özerlat, started the business in 1917 in Nicosia, when he became the first person to introduce freshly roasted Turkish coffee to Cyprus. This earned him the nickname Tahmis, meaning 'coffee roaster'. Today, our father Dervis Özerlat maintains the traditions and standards set by our great-grandfather, roasting and grinding fine Arabica coffee in our Nicosia premises.
Still running as a family business, as 4th generation representatives we take up the challenge to revive a tradition that’s been overlooked for far too long. We've partnered up with the oldest manufacturer of fine Turkish delights in Istanbul, artisan makers of Turkish coffee pots and cups and now present the finest elements of real Turkish coffee experience to any coffee lover!
