Sheepskins are naturally low maintenance, thanks to their inherent resistance to dirt and stains, meaning frequent cleaning is not necessary. To keep your sheepskin looking its best, we recommend regularly shaking it out, airing it, and gently brushing it with a soft brush to restore its fullness, softness, and natural sheen.
Please note that upon arrival, your sheepskin may have a distinct lanolin scent. This is completely natural and comes from the wool’s protective oils. The fragrance can become stronger while sealed in packaging, but will gradually fade once aired out in a well-ventilated space.
Important: Mongolian sheepskin should not be washed or dry-cleaned, as this can damage the delicate crimped texture of the wool fibers and affect its overall appearance and feel.
