    Product description

A lovely historic globe dating back to 1745, the perfect desk accessory.

Father, Gilles Robert de Vaugondy, and son, Didier Robert de Vaugondy, were the leading map makers in France during the 1700s. Didier was appointed geographer to Louis XV in 1760 and published globes of various sizes, the biggest with a diameter of 2.6m. Our vintage globe replica is rather smaller but features the same historical detail as the originals and makes a lovely gift and desk accessory.

Presented in a lovely decorative box it makes a great gift for a birthday.
