Martelo and Mo is a bespoke-design studio passionate about designing and creating functional furniture and homewares from sustainably sourced materials.

ABOUT US: Welcome to Martelo and Mo, creators of handcrafted artisan hardwood furniture, as individual as you are.

All our pieces are designed and handcrafted in our Hertfordshire workshop in the UK.

We choose natural, long-lasting materials and take great care in designing and making our products.

Lucas is a self-taught carpenter, who grew up in the Brazilian city of Sao Paolo and Monika worked in interior design with luxury brands and loves home decor.

"We hope that our passion for hardwood and the years of love and dedication to furniture-making is evident from the attention to detail we put into every piece of furniture we create."

Every piece is a very personal collaboration with the client's vision, and the challenge is to bring it to life.

And where does the name – Martelo and Mo – came from?

Martelo is the Portuguese word for a hammer – the very first tool we bought together – and Mo is Monika's nickname for Monika.
