A thoughtful, unique gift for list-makers, sketchers and journalers or something special for those hard-to-buy-for-people; this is a one-of-a-kind book made using the centuries-old technique of marbling, which involves ‘floating’ paints in a gloopy tray of thickened water and carefully manipulating them to make striking, fluid patterns.

We do all the marbling and individually make all our books in our South London studio to ensure supreme quality.

Our colours are perfect for either gender, though you might want to choose our delicate ‘Pastels’ for that feminine appeal or ‘Slate & Metallics’ for a more pared-back, masculine feel.

Our journals come in a convenient 'Pocket’ size or, for those who like a bit more space, choose 'A5'.

'Nonpareil' is the name of the traditional marbling pattern used for this journal, made using combs to pull the paint into parallel arches. This pattern is available in Abalone Shell; Blue, Gold & Copper; Forest Greens; Slate & Metallics; Pastels; Indigo & Wine and Mint & Mustard. Each book is made with an original marbled paper, so you will receive one slightly different from the pictures shown, but it will be just as beautiful!

Choose lined pages for writing and lists or plain for sketching and scrapbooking. Our inner pages are made from beautiful ivory-toned Italian paper.
