HERE'S WHAT'S INSIDE: Our big poster activity show you how to make an ocean food chain mobile, you can play whale trumps against your friends and our recipe card is for easy fish cakes. Our eco hero is Asha de Dos, who has dedicated her life to raising awareness of these ocean giants. Our I Spy card will get you out and about spotting things that are the same size as a blue whale, and our rhyme card will tell you more about these fascinating creatures and the threats they face. You’ll find a postcard to help you start a campaign to get everyone caring for the ocean and a quiz to test your blue whale knowledge, as well as a pledge card and 20 blue whale facts to wow your friends. There’s 2 activity cards packed with eight fun puzzles so you can start becoming a blue whale expert immediately!
Activities include learning to fold origami whales, making your own magnetic fishing game (can you avoid the whales?) as well as a simple project to make your own recycled crayons. There’s also a series of science experiments to help you understand how sound travels underwater.
There’s also a little something for grown-ups inside to help you understand what’s happening to blue whales as well as a useful glossary.

WHO ARE THEY FOR: Our Tool Kits are designed for children aged 5+ but work best when families explore and learn from them together. All the activities have easy instructions, but many will need some adult supervision particularly for the youngest children.
