Learn silver jewellery-smithing with award-winning jeweller Isabella Day and create your own beautiful jewellery in our experience day. Tailor-made day for any skill level.
Start the day learning basic jewellery smithing skills such as saw piercing and soldering to produce a lovely key ring. Enjoy our lovely home cooked lunch and then it’s time to move onto silver work, designing and making your own ring and pendant. You can spend the afternoon exploring metal forming, texturing and polishing.
People often come to make a gift for someone else, and we can help you to achieve your goal. We can work with advanced learners on any project you desire and with a maximum of three students you really get plenty of one-on-one tuition.

DURATION: 5-6 hours
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
Classes take place Monday-Friday any time of year. Saturdays are negotiable. Suitable for age 12 upwards. Children under 18 must by accompanied by parent or guardian. All tools, metals and equipment are provided. We give full safety instruction on all our processes and machinery. Our tailor-made days can be guided by you and you can learn anything you like. Previous students have even made anniversary keepsakes for their other half.
We also teach people who have had some experience already. Perhaps you want to learn more complicated techniques such as anti-clastic raising? Perhaps you would like to move over to gold work?
We provide a lovely homemade lunch made by Cockington Court's onsite cafe, and we can cater to any dietary requirement.
Pleae wear closed toed shoes for health and safety reasons. Long hair must be tied back.
In each session we have a maximum of three students, so you really get the personal experience.
