With these tips and tricks on how to store and care for your jewellery you will be able to preserve their inherent beauty to keep them looking brand new.
How should I store my jewellery?
We recommend storing your jewellery pieces in individual air-tight bags with anti-tarnish properties. Try to keep them in a cool, dry place as oxidation can cause dullness and discolouration.
Avoid moist, warm areas such as the bathroom and direct sunlight for storage.
Make sure to keep all your jewellery pieces separate and keep chains fastened as they may scratch and tangle with each other.
Avoid mixing with perfumes, creams, body lotions and hairspray.
Remove before undergoing any physical activity especially anything involving water such as swimming, showering, bathing or any form of rigorous exercise.
As the saying goes, jewellery should be the last thing you put on and the first thing you take off.
How should I take care of my jewellery?
It is much easier to preserve jewellery pieces than to treat damaged jewellery so we recommend regular cleaning to keep them free from tarnish and discolouration.
To clean your jewellery:
Dip a soft lint-free cloth into a bowl of warm water and non-chemical soap and gently apply to your jewellery piece.
Keep away from abrasive materials when cleaning and make sure to rinse well after any exposure to water.
Don’t dip directly into water when cleaning as this may cause fading.
Make sure it thoroughly dries after exposure to water before returning to air-tight box for storage.
