About

We are a small, yet thriving handmade bed maker based in the heart of rural England, Leicester. We hand make each one of our beds from scratch, using the finest timber available and have a small team who devote all their time and energy into every unique order.

The business is run by two friends Jean and Jonathan, who met each other at university, and have since gone on to set up their own business. Designs we produce include Low Beds, Four Poster Beds, and Platform Beds amongst others. We can also provide the bed frames in a number of pine finishes or hardwoods such as Oak, Walnut and Cherry.

Delivery

Delivery is an all day service by a 3rd party courier, and takes place between the hours of 8 am and 6 pm on the day chosen. Please choose a delivery date, allowing a minimum of 7 days for production, by typing your delivery date in the option box provided.

Products

All products and services are subject to availability and may be withdrawn at any time.

Finishes are applied to the exterior of bed frames and drawers. Due to the nature of the materials used in conjunction to the species of wood used, finishes may vary from photos or swatches. Part of the appeal towards our natural wood products is the possibility of variation in colour, grain and knots.

All of our beds are handmade to order and therefore keep none in stock.

All literature descriptions and content of our products are correct at time of going to press. We undergo continuous product development and reserve the right to amend the specifications of any products without prior notice in relation to future sales.

All wood species can react to sunlight exposure and changes in temperature and humidity.

All of our hardwood bed frames will be provided with solid pine slats.

We have a limited customisation services but can offer bespoke sizes upon request. Please be aware that there are adjustment costs on beds and mattresses for this service if it is required.

Limited edition, seasonal and custom made products may have their picture edited for visual effect, and the physical product may differ slightly than the picture shown on the website.

Construction & Assembly

All of our beds are designed to be made handmade for self assembly. No experience is necessary and it's advised that 2 people erect for ease. We cannot refund any costs incurred when the customer chooses to hire someone to assemble the bed for them or are unwilling to assemble the bed themselves as it's expected and advertised as all beds being "self-assembly".

Measurements

Beds are manufactured to a tolerance of +/- one inch.

All standard frames are larger than the mattress size by approximately 4 inches (10cm) width & 4 inches (10cm) length.

Please ensure that you are fully aware of your bed and/or mattress dimensions and that they are suitable for the space you have allocated.

Pricing

Prices displayed are inclusive of VAT.

Despite our best efforts, some of the products listed on this site may be incorrectly priced. We will normally verify prices as part of our dispatch procedures so that, where a product's correct price is less than our stated price, we will charge the lower amount when dispatching the Product to you. If a Product's correct price is higher than the price stated on our site, we will normally, at our discretion, either contact you for instructions before dispatching the Product, or reject your order and notify you of such rejection.

We are under no obligation to provide the Product to you at the incorrect (lower) price, even after we have sent you a Dispatch Confirmation, if the pricing error is obvious and unmistakeable and could have reasonably been recognised by you as a miss-pricing.

Guarantees

All our bed frames carry an 11 Year Guarantee, covering workmanship and materials from the date of delivery.

This does not include general wear and tear, neglect, instances of damage caused by misuse or improper assembly.

After the initial 12 month period we are unable to offer replacements for any beds which experience movement or noise. This will come under general wear and tear and will not be covered.

When replacing parts we cannot guarantee the exact colour match due to the natural aging from light and wear.

Our guarantee covers the individual components rather than a complete new bed.

Beds or furniture used in rental or commercial properties are limited to a 2 year guarantee.

After 12 months the customer will be responsible for the delivery and return of the faulty bed/components to our main factory in exchange for a new/refurbished parts.

Any modifications made whatsoever to the bed frames or other products sold, e.g. painting an untreated finish, attaching a alternate headboard etc, will void the guarantee.

The above guarantees are in addition to and do not affect your statutory rights.

Cancellations / Amendments

It is your customer responsibility to check that all the details on the order form are correct, including the exact specifications of the product and delivery details.

Refunds are authorised once the return has been accepted. The refund can take up to 14 days to appear in your account and will be refunded via original payment method used for the order.

We cannot complete the refund until the products have arrived back at our Leicester workshop.

If you have had your product delivered and have changed your mind please refer below to our Refunds and Returns policy.

Goods made to the consumer's own specifications are excluded from the cancellation rights unless there is found to be a fault or not to the correct specification to which it was ordered.

Delivery

Delivery dates will be arranged at the point of order online and confirmed via confirmation email.

We reserve the right to charge an additional £50 delivery attempt fee if the items have been refused or we have made multiple delivery attempts (at least 3 times) and the customer has not been present to accept at the agreed time and date and therefore the product has been sent back to the company.

We request 3 working days notice if you wish to postpone your delivery date.

We use a number of third party delivery agents to ensure your goods are delivered efficiently and to the date requested, however in the unlikely event that goods have been delayed by unforeseen circumstances (such as snow, floods, etc) the delivery company may not be able to make the delivery on the date requested. In this event, we will aim to attempt the delivery at the earliest convenience and is beyond our physical control to meet the exact date requested.

Please be aware that the drivers are not insured to take any items into the threshold of your property.

If you have requested for your delivery to be left in a safe place we can not be held responsible for any missing or damaged products.

It is expected that upon delivery you will sign to acknowledge receipt of your items ordered with the delivery agent and you accept there is no damage to the goods. It is your responsibility to ensure all goods are delivered as ordered. Any damaged goods must not be accepted or signed for and therefore returned with the courier.

If you are not in to receive your delivery this will be sent back to the courier depot for a maximum of three days before being returned to us. The courier should leave a calling card enabling you to rearrange a delivery. After two failed delivery attempts this will be sent back to our workshop and an additional delivery charge will be needed to re-send the product(s).

All international deliveries are a non-guaranteed time service. Any timescales provided are a guide only and may be longer due to other variables, such as customs and local public holidays.

We reserve the right to charge a £50 redirection fee should you change the delivery address after being dispatched from our warehouse.

Refunds & Returns Policy

Returns must be notified to us in writing via email to [email protected]

All items purchased from us must be unused and returned in their original packaging. We will need to know your order reference, the model name and size of the model you are returning and the date of order.

We will refund your money within 14 days of the return being accepted.

Any shipping costs incurred will be refunded if the product is to be found defective as described and in accordance with the above.
