Happy & sustainable stationery, homewares & gifts
Ellie's mission is to put smiles on faces and connect people to nature, through joyful and sustainable design.
With a degree in fine art and a background in graphic design, Ellie's characterful creations are an amalgamation of both disciplines. A love of the natural world, colour and shape - mixed with a good dash of character - is what makes her illustrations so engaging.
Ellie promises to only ever make products that are useful and made-to-last. Single-use is not in her vocab! Raw materials are always recycled or made in a genuinely sustainable way and manufactured using environmentally conscious companies. Packaging is minimal, and always upcycled, recycled, recyclable or biodegradable.
At the end of each year 1% of profits are donated to environmental charities and projects through the organisation 1% for the Planet.
At the age of 7, Ellie pestered her local MP for glass (yes, glass!) bottle recycling...
It worked! And from then on, campaigning for a fair respect for nature has been an integral part of her life. In 2009 Ellie published an indie magazine called EggMag, to encourage people to live ethically without living less. The mag closed it's last page in 2011, and after having two amazing babies, the world of planet-trashing product REALLY got her goat once again. Ellie set up her eponymous brand in 2017, selling sustainably made, 100% recycled cards with no plastic wrap. It proved popular, so the range has expanded to include a selection of useful and made-to-last wares, tote bags and paper goods.
In 2019 Ellie also set up We Are The Shift, which offers bite-sized tips for greener living.
Our aim with our products is to create quality products that last. If, for some reason, you buy something which doesn't live up to this ethos, please let us know.
