Grey-blue 'Ocean Shoal' ceramic tiles. Handprinted art tiles. This is the 'border' version, desiged to work as a row.
These ceramic tiles feature a lovely grey blue shoal of patterned fish which join with a neighbouring tile to make a seamless repeat of the shoal.
The design is made up of two different tiles. They are specially designed to work horizontally as a single border or accent row - run them along a worktop, through a shower cubicle, or around your bathtub or sink.
You can also have different rows swimming in different directions (see pics) - just add a note at checkout how many of each design / tile you'd like.
Variations
These are designed to work in single row, or multiple rows swimming in different directions.
The listing is for a single tile - if you order more than one, we'll send equal numbers of tile design 1 and tile design 2, which work together to make a row of fish.
They're available in several different sizes, and in four different colourways. See my other listings for more options.

Dimensions
Tile sizes vary but generally include 10cm x 10cm, 10.8cm x 10.8cm, 15cm x 15cm, 20cm x 20cm. Not all sizes are available at all times.
I also make bespoke sizes, border tiles, patterned metro tiles, and special orders. Please contact me for more information.
Made from
- Ceramic
- 5-7 mm or 1/4 inch thick
- glossy reflective surface
- gently rounded top edge
- ridged unglazed back
- require normal tile adhesive and grouting
- heat printed in my home studio, using my own millefiori designs
These are handmade to order, so there may be slight variation between each tile.
PLEASE NOTE:
These tiles are heat printed, which means they will scratch if you drag heavy things over the surface, or scour with abrasive cleaners. Normal cleaning is fine!
They ARE suitable for :-
- splashbacks in kitchens and bathrooms
- cubby holes- utility rooms
- en suite bathrooms
- guest bathrooms
- mantel pieces
- kitchen walls away from direct heat sources
- decorative fireplace applications (away from heat sources)
- dining areas
They are NOT suitable for-
- outdoors, conservatories or pools
- areas which receive a lot of direct sunlight or UV as the design may fade over the years
- floors
- areas which are regularly scrubbed or scoured with agressive cleaners
- areas exposed to regular high heat and / or flame (eg close to gas hob burners)
