We offer 5* luxury in a field - staying in one of our three full en-suite shepherd huts on the Blackdown Hills in Somerset. Each hut is set in its own private field and has its own outdoor bathing experience. Dapple also has a Finnish style sauna for the private use of Dapple guests

All of our huts have been built by the leading makers, Blackdown Shepherd Huts and are luxuriously appointed.

Firstly, we have Dimpsey Hither Hut whose luxury interior is completely styled with vintage and UK artisan-made pieces and offers the perfect chance to kick back and relax in comfort, with firelight and stars to keep you company. Our Hither Hut is a lovely cosy space with woodfired hottub set in its own private fairylit barn and garden oven and firepit outside.

Our Dimpsey Yonder Hut is the ultimate in shepherd hut luxury, consisting of two shepherd huts joined together to form one accommodation, with a freestanding double bed and copper William Holland bath in the rear and then the adjoining hut housing a copper lined shower, lounge area and kitchen.

Lastly, Dimpsey Dapple Hut offers a two shepherd huts joined together with a large deck outside and a covered area with outdoor William Holland copper bath and an outdoor shower, with a private use sauna. Beautifully appointed with pieces from UK artisans, it's perfect for a couples or solo retreat.

All guests have the opportunity to book treatments in our Walled Garden Treatment room, early booking advisable.

Book one of our added experience breaks or just simply enjoy the Shepherd's Hut and the surrounding area, with the Jurassic Coast and Lyme Regis within an easy 30 minute drive.

Outdoor Cooking Experience - Why not let us prepare you an ingredients basket for you to cook in our wood-fired outdoor garden oven, homemade pizza cooked over wood fire is so delicious, you'll be wondering why you don't cook outside more.

Gourmet Food Tour - the Dimpsey Shepherd's Hut is just a short drive away from some notable eateries - so let us use our local knowledge and plan you a gourmet treat of a tour. You can take in the Michelin Guide listed Cotley Inn, River Cottage at Axminster, Hix Oyster & Fish House at Lyme Regis or the Pig at Combe just down the road from us.

Clay Shooting Experience package - we are just 30 minutes away from the Ling Shooting school run by Olympic Medallist Ed Ling and his medal-winning wife Abbey. Book up a Dimpsey hut break and let us arrange a one hour "Have a Go" session over at their shooting school - a perfect introduction to Clay Shooting.
