Hello, I’m Catherine from Words by Catherine Prutton, I’m a writer living in East Yorkshire. I write poems to uplift, poems about the beauty in everyday, and poems to send messages of hope, love and encouragement.

I've had a varied career, working in theatre, TV and the charity sector, now I make my living as a writer! I started writing after my son was born and found it a great creative outlet at a time when my whole world had been turned upside down. I shared my poems online and they seemed to really resonate, I've been writing ever since.

I'm inspired by normal, everyday life, people and situations. I truly believe that beauty, joy and humour can be found in everyday life

All poetry is original content written by myself, and each print is handwritten and totally unique. They make great gifts for loved ones or as a treat to yourself to remind you the life can be tough but so can you, and to look for the joy and strength in every day, no matter how small.
