This beautiful Cape Crochet Kit is part of Crafting the Wheel of the Year Book, written by our Founder Claire Gelder, with Deb Bowen.
As the Wheel of the Year revolves from one season to the next, we see Mother Nature spinning in a kaleidoscope of colours, as represented by this cape. This cape represents our connection to the revolution of the seasons and the vibrant colours that speak of those turns from one season to the next throughout the year.
Samhain is represented with pumpkin, Yule is pine, Imbolc is Pistachio, Ostara is Rhubarb, Beltane is Cranberry, Litha is Corn, Lughnasadh is Heather and Mabon is Earth. I have then chosen to edge them in River and Ocean, which are the colours that speak to me as my Pisces birth sign. You will choose the colours that speak to you.
