It is woven and felted in the river in just one village in Ukraine (over 40mln people) In unspoilt countryside in the Carpathian Mountain. It is very hard work and takes many days to produce 1 item.
But it have stood the test of time for one reason: they always add an air of warmth and cozyness to any living space.
When you order our wool cushion or rug - money goes straight to local communities and will keep this rug weaving tradition alive, contributing directly to the local economy and sustainability. Ukraine's population has been declining since the 1990s because of a high emigration rate, where people ( especially younger) searching for better life abroad.

100% Organic Raw Wool.
Organic untreated wool is highly water and stain resistant as it's still have the fatty lanolin from the original animal.
The nature of woolen pillows and rugs actually yield minimal to minor shedding that will clears up eventually. That's not a fault.
