This full day blacksmithing course offers a hands-on introduction to the art of hot metalworking, guided by artist Piers Edsall at the Environmental Art Workshop in Malton. Set in a creative workshop environment, participants are introduced to the fundamental techniques used in traditional blacksmithing.
Throughout the day, you will work with a zero carbon induction forge powered by renewable energy, combining historic craft methods with a modern, sustainable approach. Under expert guidance, you will develop your skills and work on a unique item of your own design to take home.
Alongside the practical making, all equipment and materials are provided, and lunch is included, making for a well-supported and immersive experience from start to finish.
