A big thank you to everyone who has bought my paintings last year, I wish you many years of happiness with your painting. I look forward to a creative year ahead and showing my new paintings on this site in the coming year.
For those who are new to my work, I hope you enjoy looking at my paintings. My desire to paint swimmers began over ten years ago when I undertook a residency at Tooting Bec Lido, and I've been fascinated with the figure in water ever since. This theme combines many of my artistic interests such as capturing light, movement and a balance between figuration and abstraction.
Within the subject of the swimmer in water I have made several different bodies of work, some of which are displayed on this page. They include the very popular series called Constellations, which featured in an article in the Telegraph Magazine about writer Jed Mercurio who owns one of the series.
I have had some exciting times over the last decade, recently exhibiting commissioned paintings at the Houses of Parliament during the Olympics and Paralympics in London 2012 and working with competitors Joanne Jackson and Emma Hollis. I've also shown and sold my paintings at the Royal Academy Summer exhibition in 2007, 2008 and 2009. I live and work in London, and welcome commissions and studio visits.
