Heirloom woodland dolls designed, printed and handcrafted using noble fibres in Kent, England.
Thicket & Thimble was founded by new mum Rose Brookes when she wanted to create a special doll for her daughter. Inspired by memories of her grandmother, the creativity she passed down and the incredible talent she had with a needle and thread, Rose borrowed a sewing machine and taught herself to sew.
5 years later, Thicket & Thimble is now a small team of makers based in the beautiful Kentish countryside, lovingly creating each doll entirely by hand, using vintage, Liberty print, noble and hand-dyed fabrics.
Every doll arrives with a letter press tag and cotton glitter dust bag (and a sprinkle of sparkle!). We also offer a hand embroidered monogramming service to make your doll extra special.

Designed, printed and made in Kent, England
The Thicket & Thimble Keepsake collection features dolls for boys and girls with original water colour painting of the signature Thicket & Thimble character designs coupled with trompe-l’oeil stitching detail, which is then printed onto natural linen.
The 100% wool felt ears are hand sewn on and each doll is stuffed with hypo-allergenic stuffing and completed with a soft organic cotton tag.
Each garment is lovingly made using hand selected fabrics, Liberty prints, yarns and in-house dip dyed tulle.
