Hello I’m Cheryl, founder of The Typecast Gallery. My studio is based in the picturesque countryside of Dorset, where all my inspiration begins.

With a long and established career in graphic design, creativity is at the heart of everything I do. Each piece starts as an idea, which I bring to life through carefully crafted illustration, expressive typography, and considered use of colour. My style is inspired by classic illustration and expressive typography, resulting in designs that are bold, playful, and full of character.

I’m passionate about supporting UK industries at every stage of production. My products combine beautiful, high-quality print with a strong commitment to sustainability. I carefully select papers and premium canvas boards to create a lustrous finish that enhances the freshness and vibrancy of each design.

My greeting card collections have been recognised within the industry, earning nominations for two Henries Awards which are the highest accolade in the greeting card world.

A breath of fresh air…

Living in such a scenic location, not all my days are spent working in the studio. Accompanied by Sammy, my loyal Labrador, I often find inspiration on long walks through the Dorset countryside and along its breathtaking coastline. These moments in nature play a huge role in shaping my limited edition animal prints.
